- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: Medical and surgical oncology, palliative care, urology, telemetry patients; chemotherapy administration within 1 year preferred; facility will consider strong candidates without oncology experience 3. Certifications: BLS and ONCC/ONS (Chemo) required; BLS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required at submission 4. License: WV or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted for submission; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date; clean license required; hits submitted for case-by-case approval 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12, 7p-7a; every other weekend required; 3-4 weekend shifts per contract; 36 or 48hr contract options; 36hrs guaranteed; float within scope to like units; blocked schedule requests accommodated; orientation held every other Thursday 8. RTO: No more than 1 of the 3 major holidays approved; RTO must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees (perm, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system (includes CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius rule; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate; permanent address must be 100 miles from facility 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on a license reviewed on a case-by-case basis; license hits submitted for case-by-case approval 12. Modules: Non-billable; average completion time 2-6 hours; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Royal Blue/White (RN); parking is free for travelers 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical exemptions only (allergy must be documented by an allergist or physician); flu season October 1 - March 31; not required outside that window; do not submit candidates who refuse without medical proof; COVID vaccine not required 16. Special Equipment: PCA Pumps, CBI, Feeding Pumps, Bladder Scanner Critical: Full file due by noon Monday prior to start date; insufficient documentation results in a 2-week start date push. One PDF must contain: candidate profile (work history), specialty-specific skills checklist, minimum 2 manager/charge references within past 2 years, RN license verification (Nursys), Driver's License, and SSN.
