- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; first-timers not accepted. Level I Nursery experience required, LDRP experience required, Circulate for C-section experience required, Postpartum Care experience required. 2. Cases: Antepartum, NSTs, Labor, Vaginal and C-section Deliveries, Newborn Resuscitation and Stabilization, Newborn Care, Bilirubin Phototherapy, Maternal Postpartum Care, GYN, D&C, D&E, IV Fe Infusions, Circumcisions, Labor Triage. 3. Certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate also listed. All certifications must be in hand at submission. 4. License: Active Oregon State RN License required; pending license accepted with proof of OR license application and fingerprints submitted at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic experience required for all RN submissions. RNs must complete an Epic Test-Out Module; failure requires a mandatory 8-hour Epic training course at no cost to Legacy. 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Night shift, 1900-0730, variable days of week. Weekends required as needed by the unit. No on-call required. Holidays as needed. Float within site and across the Legacy system is required; refusal to float will result in contract cancellation. Low census mandatory cancellation: must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; may be cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty. 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days RTO per assignment. No RTO during the first week of start date (submittal details note first 2 weeks). All RTO must be finalized and included at time of submission. 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be separated from the facility or system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler. 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted. Candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility. 11. Background: No felony convictions accepted. Any background hit must include a traveler explanation statement and waiver or approval documentation. 12. Modules: Pre-start modules, skills testing, competencies, and compliance activities are non-billable. Estimated completion time is 4-8 hours. Modules completed during orientation are billable or may be attributed to NBO if completed within the first 8 hours of orientation. All compliance documents must be submitted by the Wednesday prior to start date. Travelers must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment start. 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience required; first-timers not accepted. 14. Scrubs: No t-shirts allowed in lieu of scrubs. Any color except black or camo. Scrubs are provided for L&D. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown. 16. Special Equipment: Nursery, phototherapy lights, Panda beds for deliveries, labor and delivery beds, cribs for newborns, delivery equipment and instruments, OR rooms (2), PACU room, surgery equipment and instruments, IV start kits. Critical: One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required at submission, preferably from within the last year. Ratios: L&D 1:1, Mother Baby 1:3.
