- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of labor and delivery experience minimum 2. Cases: Labor & Delivery, assist with high risk delivery, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, multiple births 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced and STABLE preferred 4. License: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required; SC license prioritized 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s nights, every other weekend, 2 twelve-hour call shifts per 6-week period 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at submission; 7 days or less non-holiday RTO for auto offers; approval based on facility needs 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals considered at lower bill rate on case-by-case basis; non-locals prioritized 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, average 4 hours, completed pre-start, included in NBO hours 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy surgical scrubs provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Omnicell medication system, radiant warmers, EFM, infusion pumps Critical: Labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start. Hurricane season assignment to emergency response teams June-November. Facility can call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. 36 orientation hours required.
