- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Six months previous critical care experience preferred; completion of a Critical Care Nursing course required 2. Cases: Medical ICU/Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU; multi-system failure, ventilation, neuro/trauma, respiratory failure, hemodynamic monitoring 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC per AH policy) required; ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS per AH policy) required; TNCC required (must have before start date; candidates without TNCC will be considered but must obtain it prior to start); NIHSS required 4. License: Current RN license in state of practice required 5. Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred 6.
