- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred; 2 years listed in system requirements 2. Cases: Cardiac, Vascular, or Thoracic ICU patients; CABG; Valve repair; TAVR; Heart transplant; Lung transplant; VAD implantation; ECMO; Aortic repairs; Esophageal repairs; Secondary diagnoses include stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, GI bleed, heart failure, unstable dysrhythmias 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be on file 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36-hour nights; weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays; patient ratios 1:1-2; minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday for nights); float required within units of equivalent or lower acuity; travelers will not rotate more than once every 4 weeks 8.
