- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: SRO Float Pool floating to various ICU and intermediate care units including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID), Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, ED Boarders 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; TNCC, CCRN preferred; copies required with submissions 4. License: VA license (can submit with pending license but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date); Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 36 or 48 hours available; every other weekend, every other holiday 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; cannot approve time off for 4th of July or between 07/12-07/19; no RTO approved first 2 weeks of assignment; no additional RTO requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts; facility does not allow travelers to return after 365 days despite separation period 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50 mile travel restriction; locals not accepted for specific listed units (Clinical Lab Blood Bank, Toxicology, etc.) 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed during orientation, vary by specialty, recorded in Workday 13.
