- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3+ years in specialty per job notes; 5 years listed in system fields; 1+ year required for submission within specialty submitting to; travel experience preferred 2. Cases: Trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, SOB, psych; high acuity trauma and cardiac patients; moderate sedation performed (ED providers manage sedation); General Emergency Department Combined Adult/Pedi 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN (in hand), NIH/NIHSS, PALS required; travelers may obtain certifications before starting 4. License: NY State License required; must have at least applied if still pending; submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Must be willing to float within skillset; weekend coverage required; patient ratios 1:4 days/nights/weekends but may flex to 1:5 during surge; subacute/supertrack ratio 1:5-1:6; orientation 18 hours (minimum 3 hours with 6-hour max per separate note) 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as a traveler within one year; after 3rd assignment, extensions allowed but at local rate; must include former manager name if applicable 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate 11. Background: SSN/DOB required; Canadian travelers and international travelers cannot be cleared without SSN or valid work authorization; international travelers cannot cross sooner than 10 days prior to start date 12.
