- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Emergency Department, trauma cases (Level II trauma required, Level I preferred) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC required (must be current American Heart Association); CPI needed starting January 2026; copies required with submission 4. License: MO RN or Compact required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required, no exceptions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 hours, every other weekend required (Friday & Saturday nights), at least 2 Sundays & 2 Mondays; no block scheduling 8. RTO: Required 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone for at least 1 year 10. Travel/Local: No local radius rule; locals accepted at same rate; candidates may float to all competent units within facility 11. Background: Client approves background hits on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 4 hours for ED/ICU/TELE (non-billable, completed pre-start via NKCH education system); strict deadlines for HealthStream modules throughout assignment 13. Travel Experience: Required, no exceptions; no first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: Varied Critical: Must pass EKG exam on orientation day with 80% or higher on lethal rhythms. CEU requirements vary by unit (ED requires 4 stroke, 8 trauma, 4 cardiac). Patient ratio 4:1 all shifts. 36 orientation hours.
