- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; experience must be within the 3 most recent years with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass; Oncology experience preferred but not required 2. Cases: Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department; high-acuity oncology emergency care; patient diagnoses include complex cancer patient needs 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required; must be AHA or equivalent 4. License: Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights; floating required; patient ratio 1:3 (days, nights, and weekends) 8. RTO: Must be submitted at time of application and built into contract; up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at facility discretion for a 14-week contract 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after being away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible for traveler positions at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate; only submit to one location 11. Background: Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon contract signing; strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start, no exceptions; candidates outside Ohio must drive to a fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently 12. Modules: Orientation hours: 76 13. Travel Experience: 1 year of travel experience required (hard stop) 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16.
