Cases: Aortic Valves, Mitral Valves, ASD, Redo Surgeries, Esophagogastrectomy, CABG with and without valve repair/replace, VATS, Thoracotomy, Mediastinoscopy, Mitral Clip, TAVR, Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Groin Exploration, Port a Cath Placement, Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Carotid Endarterectomy, IABP insertion and removal, Myxoma Removal, Pneumonectomy, Chamberlin Procedure, Tracheostomy, VSD 3. Certifications: BCLS required, CNOR preferred 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC, charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 10 hour days Monday-Friday 0630-1700, call 10 days/month including one weekend/month, call every 3rd weekend 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays), must work 2 of 3 major holidays, no RTO during first week, all RTO must be pre-approved, cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying, disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hours of NBO, 8-10 hours for Acute Care, completed online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Scrubs are provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: PYXIS, IABP Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Circulate and scrub experience required. Orientation is 36 hours.
