- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years critical care experience required; must have CVICU or open heart experience 2. Cases: Post Open Heart Recovery, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, TAVR, CRRT, Impella, IABP; Required skills include ECMO, IABP, Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from OR), Swan Ganz monitoring, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac drips, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE; Preferred skills include accessing/managing ports, titrating vasoactive drips, chest tube insertion/removal assist, BiPAP/CPAP management, HFNC, ventilator management 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic (preferred); also uses Pyxis and SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: Days 06:45-19:15; 36 or 48 hours can be offered; 13-26 week contracts accepted; float required; every other weekend required; target ratios 1:1 nights, 2:1 weekends 8. RTO: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR; pre-approved time off listed as two 9.
