- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; must have strong ED experience and strong InterQual experience; academic work experience required 2. Cases: High volume ED; inpatient areas include M/S, OB, NICU, Critical Care; specialty areas include Psych and ED; 17-20 patients per day; no peds or adolescents unless in ICUs 3. Certifications: BLS, ACM, CCM or RNBC required; all certs must be in-hand when applying; CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand for all ER and Float Pool nurses — MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted 4. License: CA State License required in-hand when applying; EMSA not accepted; no Nursys hits accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; must be noted in traveler's work history 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10H schedule can be considered; float required to all areas needing coverage 8.
