- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required per job description fields; however, 18 months experience required per facility policy (refer to job description for exceptions by unit) 2. Cases: Required: Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital, Adult ICU, PACS, Contrast, Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, Multiplanar Reconstruction. Preferred: Outpatient, Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Children's Hospital, NICU, PICU, IV Starts, Phlebotomy, Biopsies, Aspirations/Biopsies, Drainage, Myelography. Daily caseload: 160; Daily Census: 180 CT Scans 3. Certifications: BLS and ARRT CT required; AHA requirement not specified 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license application has been submitted. SSN and DOB required at time of submittal 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU Health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s; block scheduling; orientation hours: 40; floating is 100% required of all travelers — within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby 8. RTO: Up to 5 non-holiday days can be auto-approved; anything more requires facility approval; candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler. Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health must take a consecutive designated break (effective 2/24/26). Out-of-state residents require a 90-day break; in-state residents require a 180-day break to reset eligibility prior to year mark 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local. Locals accepted at lower in-state BR for Surgical Services, Allied, and IU Clinics positions. Locals NOT accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions 11. Background: Must be noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required; first-time travelers accepted 14. If 1 position is available, 3 submissions allowed at one time. Wide variety of cases from a Level III Trauma Center ED. Patient age groups include Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics.
