- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostic and Intervention including Structural; EP experience required with pacemaker/defibrillator implants, ablations, PVI, etc.; first-timers not accepted 2. Cases: 8-10 cases per day; Atrial Fib/flutter, bradycardia, ventricular and atrial arrhythmia, valvular disease; structural heart (LAAO), EPS, mapping (Carto, ESI), ablation all types, pacemaker, defibrillators, cardioversions, sterile procedures 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT R required; BLS and ACLS must be through AHA; certifications must be listed on application at time of submittal 4. License: Active WV license required to start; WV or Compact License accepted; pending license accepted for submission; ARRT registration required; NOTE: WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in the Cath Lab 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10-hour days, Monday-Friday, 6:30am-5:00pm; no weekends, no holidays, no call; may float within scope to meet facility needs but will more than likely stay in Cath Lab; no floating to sister facilities; guaranteed 36 hours 8. RTO: No restrictions noted in unit details; RTO must be included at time of submittal; pre-approved time off listed as two 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees (perm, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system (includes CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on a license will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable; average completion time 2-6 hours; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Provided by the hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: BARD, Carto, ESI, PFA Critical: Full file due by Noon Monday prior to start date; insufficient documentation will result in a 2-week start date push; orientation held every other Thursday; SSN and DOB required at time of submittal; minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required; parking is free for travelers.
