- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; First Time Travelers accepted 2. Cases: Interventional vascular radiology; peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke, embolization 3. Certifications: BLS required (AHA); ARRT and ARRT VI required; Vascular Intervention Cert preferred; all certifications must be listed on application at time of submittal 4. License: ARRT, WV State License or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission but must be active prior to start; probationary actions reviewed case-by-case 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 Days M-F, typically 7:30a-6p; on-call rotation weekdays and weekends; approximately 8 call days per month including 1 weekend/month; 30-minute response time; 2-hour call-back minimum; every third weekend required (5-6 total per contract); 40 hours/week guaranteed 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal; open to accommodating blocked schedule requests within reason, to be discussed at interview; pre-approved time off noted as two 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees (perm, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-99 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on a license will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable; average completion time 2-6 hours; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Blue surgical scrubs issued by the hospital 15. Flu Vaccine: Required; medical exemptions only (allergy must be documented by an allergist or physician); flu season October 1 - March 31; not required outside that window; do not submit anyone who refuses without medical proof 16. Special Equipment: Fluoroscopy (Siemens preferred); Ultrasound preferred; PACS Critical: Full file due by Noon Monday prior to start date; insufficient documentation results in a 2-week start date push. Orientation held every other Monday (per facility notes) / every other Thursday (per compliance notes). SSN and DOB required at time of submittal. Minimum 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from past 2 years required. Floating required to CAMC General (sister facility, 2 miles from Memorial) for 1 week.
