- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: General medical-surgical diagnosis; Oncology/chemo patients; AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips, DKA - Insulin drip; Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy (IV, PO, or injection) 3. Certifications: BLS required; Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required; Oncology certification (OCN) preferred; CPI preferred; traveler must be able to administer chemo if needed; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; PYXIS and SBAR also in use 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; call required if called off on a pre-scheduled shift; every other weekend required; floating required to similar units and alternate care locations including inpatient holding in the ED; contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster; attendance at monthly staff meetings required; make-up shifts required for any called-out shifts 8. RTO: Only one pre-approved time off; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; any call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR 9.
