Cases: Blood Bank routine and specialized compatibility testing; preparation of blood components for transfusion; supports pediatric and adult transfusion needs 3. Certifications: ASCP-BB and ASCP-MLS required; both certifications are required per facility (do not redirect if missing one); No MLTs accepted 4. License: IN RN restriction — effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities (exceptions: Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers, ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Evening Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) or Night Shift (11:00pm-7:30am); flexible start times if working 10-hour shifts; training and orientation on day shift for first two weeks before going onto contracted shift; specific BB training will occur on hired shift after general orientation 8.
