Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – RRT

Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • KS license
  • 1 Year Experience
  • BLS
  • NBRC and KS RRT
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • PALS
  • 5 years experience preferred, will accept someone with less if CONFIDENT in working alone

Other Details:

  • Locals allowed, no limit on mile radius
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – No Exemptions
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Unknown
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ALONE…as this shift will be one person

Job/Unit Requirements: RRT
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift dates/schedule: 3x12s Nights
Certifications/License required: NBRC and KS RRT or CRT License, ACLS, BLS, NRP, & PALS
# of years of experience required: 5yrs exp preferred, will accept someone with less if CONFIDENT in working alone
Skills:
-Demonstrates ability to assess patients and formulate a plan of care based on the patient’s age.
-Able to formulate a plan of care under the guidance of Respiratory Protocol / Consult and Ventilator Protocol.
-Able to enter Protocol orders electronically.
-Knowledge about respiratory medications and their routes of delivery. (MDIs, aerosols, ventilators), administration of oxygen. (devices, safety, titration)
-Able to perform airway control and maintenance (suctioning, hygiene, adjuncts), all aspects of arterial blood gas analysis. (obtaining samples, analyzing, interpretation, machine maintenance)
-Able to interpret and take physician orders timely and accurately.
-Able to set up, maintain, and trouble shoot mechanical ventilation and NIV.
-Demonstrates knowledge and skill required to treat newborns needing resuscitation.
-Able to teach patients about their home respiratory treatment plan.
