- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Cardiac PCU, Drips, Post Cath Lab, IV Starts, and Sheath Pulls required; Conscious Sedation and Telemetry preferred 3. Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS; must be AHA certified 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Must be flexible with weekend requirements; must work 50% of weekends in contract; patient ratios 1:4 all shifts 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; for PCU positions locals not accepted; out-of-state residents require 3 month break, in-state residents require 6 month break 11.
