- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year med-surg-cardiac/Telemetry experience required 2. Cases: Acutely ill Med/Surg patients transitioning from ICU, cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring and IV medications including antiarrhythmic medications and heparin, patients requiring bi-pap 3. Certifications: ACLS, NIH and BCLS required; All RNs required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline 4. License: IL license in hand required at time of submittal; MO: submit without license OK, requires MO or compact; Compact must match permanent residence 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: 12 hour night shift (1845 - 0715) - 3 days a week, every other weekend; on-call not required 8. RTO: Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO); No new RTO after submission; No RTO allowed the first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: 18 months with a 3-month break in service required; Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius; No local travelers allowed except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants 11. Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; completed pre-start, required for RNs; completed through WorkRamp; must be started within 1 week of signed contract and completed 2 Fridays prior to start date 13.
