Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (with 90-day window to obtain ACLS); 4 years listed in qualifications 2. Cases: NICU, adult ICU, ER, stepdown units; airway management, medication administration, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers 3. Certifications: BLS, CRTT, ACLS required (90-day window from start date to obtain); NRP and RRT preferred; must be obtained prior to start 4. License: VA License or Compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required/preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required, every other holiday, potential mandatory on-call 2-3 shifts per month 8. RTO: Manager's discretion; need to add week at end if requesting more than 7 days; only 1 holiday request for OR/CST unit 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No radius rule; locals accepted at same rate; will float within hospital or affiliate hospitals 11. Background: Nursys report only 12. Modules: 8 hours average, non-billable, completed pre-start via WorkRamp within 1 week of signing 13. Travel Experience: Yes, first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Wine color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Preferred ventilators - Servo U, Servo Air Critical: Must float to ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units. Charge responsibility required. Monthly department meeting attendance or acknowledgment required. Travel pairs not allowed on SICU unit.
