- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years RN experience minimum required 2. Cases: Robotics, Urology, Thoracic required; General OR preferred 3. Certifications: BLS required; BLS, ACLS, PALS must be via American Heart Association if required by unit 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license acceptable but must have active to start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner charting system 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s (0645-1717) or 3x12s (0645-1915); self-scheduled weeknight and weekend call required 8. RTO: No restrictions; should be included on application at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility; 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at same rate; locals not accepted within 75 miles 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 2-6 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, vary by specialty, recorded on transcript with certificate of completion 13. Travel Experience: Preferred 14. Scrubs: Royal Blue/White for RN 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required October 1st - March 31st; medical exemptions only with allergy documented by allergist or physician 16. Special Equipment: Da Vinci Si and Xi Surgical Systems, robotics equipment Critical: RNFA credentialing takes 30-60 days, need start dates 30-60 days out. No first timers accepted. 2 manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Current Vandalia Health System employees ineligible. Full file due noon Monday prior to start.
