Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required (noted as 3 years in job requirements section); 18 months minimum per general policy; all case types must be within last 3 years 2. Cases: General, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver resection - all within last 3 years 3. Certifications: BCLS required; must be AHA certification 4. License: IN/Compact license required in hand prior to start date or fingerprint application package submitted; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Epic experience required; however notes state "No specific charting required for any IU health positions" 7. Shifts/Call: M-F 7:00-15:30; 40-60 hours of call per 6-week schedule 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires break after 12 months of travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services positions at lower bill rate; out-of-state residents require 3-month break, in-state residents require 6-month break to reset eligibility 11. Background: Background policy must be noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14.
