- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required; 18 months experience required per facility policy; 3 years specified in qualifications section 2. Cases: General, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver resection (all within the last 3 years) 3. Certifications: BCLS required; BLS listed in skills section 4. License: IN/Compact license required; must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Epic experience required; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 40-60 hours of call in a 6 week schedule; Monday-Friday with call and/or holidays 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away for 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services, Allied positions, and IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions 11.
