Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required (18 months general experience, but 2 years specific for this position); 3 years previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: General, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, Thoracic, ENT, Oral, Urology, Whipple, Plastics (free flap), and Liver resection (all within last 3 years) 3. Certifications: BCLS required 4. License: IN/Compact license required in hand prior to start date or fingerprint application package submitted; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Epic experience required; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: M-F 7:00-17:30; 40-60 hours of call in 6 week schedule 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; anything more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: PERM or PRN employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated break after 12 months travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals not accepted at University (Surgical Services, Allied, and IU Clinics accept locals at lower rate); out-of-state residents require 3 month break, in-state residents require 6 month break to reset eligibility 11. Background: Background policy must be noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: DaVinci XI University required Critical: 100% floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals. 2 supervisor references required.
