Requirements
- Required certification: Med/Surg
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: General Med/Surg patients, adults and geriatrics; insulin drips, heparin drips required 3. Certifications: BCLS required; CPI preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12HR nights 18:45-07:15; charge role required for night travelers; call required if put on call prescheduled shift 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate; floating required within/near facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Required, non-billable, expect 2-10 hours 13. Travel Experience: Unit will accept 1st time traveler 14. Scrubs: Not provided; navy required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16.
