Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years Neuro ICU experience required (minimum, no less) 2. Cases: Strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic SAH), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license (pending OK for submittal) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights 18:45-07:15, every other weekend, no call requirement, float required 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays), must work 2 of 3 major holidays, no RTO during first week, all RTO must be pre-approved, cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying, disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate, will not accept first-time travelers, travel experience required 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, expect 2-10 hours 13. Travel Experience: Required, unit will not accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy blue and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun Critical: Must be available for lab work within 48 hours of signing. Patient ratios normally 2:1, can flex to 3:1. Strong Neuro Critical Care background required, not just general ICU.
