Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; MUST BE 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU, NO LESS 2. Cases: Neuro Intensive Care Unit; stroke patients (ischemic, hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; copies required at submission 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12 hour nights 18:45-07:15; no call requirement; every other weekend; float requirement; ratios 2:1 (can flex to 3:1) 8. RTO: 7 days MAX for auto approval; no RTO during first week; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; RTO after booking NOT allowed 9. Returning Staff: Any previous PERM/PRN/EP staff must wait 12 months; facility rehire approval needed; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Under 50 miles offered lower local rate; will NOT accept 1st time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 8-10 hours for acute care roles; non-billable; completed pre-start via online learning, Zoom, webinar, in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Required; will NOT accept 1st time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy blue and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun Critical: Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing.
