Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU

Shift: Rotating D/N / 12×3, 36 hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

Weekends/holidays based on unit need + call (only if unit is closed)

Requirements: 
  • ND License
  • 1 year of experience
  • Must have ICU drips, sedation, intubation and management, reading cardiac rhythms, understanding of RT equipment
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Previous Travel experience preferred
Other Details:
  • Floating Requirements: Our ICU nurses typically do not float unless the unit is closed and they’re needed elsewhere
  • Charting System- Meditech
  • Required to titrate drips
  • # of Beds: 4
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Newborns to geriatrics. DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory failure, ETOH withdrawal, A fib RVR
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU).
