Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: High Risk OB & Outpatient GE; General Ultrasound (Abdominal Aorta, Appendix, Breast, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Pediatric Abdomen/Pelvis & Spleen); OB/GYN (1st, 2nd & 3rd Trimester, Amniotic fluid index, Fetal Anatomical Survey & Placenta Previa); Neonatal (Bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Head & Heart); Renal/Pelvis (Bladder, Hernia, Ovaries, Prostate, Renal/Bladder, Uterus & Vaginal); Small Parts (Breast Cyst Aspiration, Breast Ultrasound, Superficial Masses, Testicles/Scrotum & Thyroid) 3. Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS required; ARDMS FE, NT preferred 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start; pending OK for submission 5. Education: Must be a registered diagnostic medical sonographer 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 40 hours Mon-Fri 7:45-4:30 with 45 minute meal break; no call requirement; float requirement yes; no weekend requirement 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less if not on holiday; more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO first week due to orientation; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous PERM/PRN/EP staff must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; facility rehire approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; permanent address under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; Non-Acute roles 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not provided; any color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16.
