- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum one year of cardiac experience required; 2 years of experience per system requirements 2. Cases: TAVR echocardiogram, VAD echocardiogram, ECMO echocardiogram, Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Strain 3D/4D Echocardiogram, Mitral Clip Follow-up Echo, Pericardial disease/pericardiocentesis, Transplant patients (heart, lung, liver, renal); must be able to administer Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (Definity & Optison) and Agitated Saline Bubble Studies; must complete 7 scans per day 3. Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY); registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS); ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, CCI, CCI RCCS, CCI RCS accepted — must call out which cert candidate holds; if required cert is in hand, EDV is not required 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Graduate of an ultrasonography program required; CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program preferred; Bachelor's degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field preferred; if required certifications are in hand, education verification is no longer required 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday; variable shift start times between 0700-0900 (staggered on the half-hour); weekend rotation required for coverage; on-call rotation may be requested dependent on operational need; can start 9/7 or 9/14 8.
