- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred 2. Cases: Cardiac, Vascular, or Thoracic ICU patients; CABG, Valve Repair, TAVR, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, VAD Implantation, ECMO, Aortic Repairs, Esophageal Repairs; secondary diagnoses include stroke, ARDS, renal failure, sepsis, GI bleed, pulmonary embolus, heart failure, unstable dysrhythmias 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be on hand 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 36-hour nights; weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays; up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block; patient ratio 1:2 days, nights, and weekends; float required within units of equivalent or lower acuity, no more than once every 4 weeks 8.
