Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 18 months minimum with recent ICU experience 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, ICU experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RRT (NBRC), PALS noted; copies required at submission 4. License: IN license required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA; University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; anything more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Former IU PERM or PRN employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services, Allied positions, and IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
