- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Pediatrics, NICU; skills include BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, mechanical ventilation weaning, bronchoscopy assist, intubation assist, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, and various aerosol/inhaled medication administrations 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, RRT required; Radiation badge required and MUST be provided by agency — MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers 4. License: SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start; candidates with pending license may be considered with proof of application or SC walk-through confirmation, but traveler will not be cleared until license is active 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights, 7p-7a; every other weekend required; no on-call required; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; float required between DT/NE/Fairfield/Kershaw campuses based on census and staffing needs 8. RTO: All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted; auto-offer eligible if 7 days or fewer of non-holiday RTO; 7+ days or holiday RTO requires facility approval; only one pre-approved RTO per contract 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals accepted on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than posted bill rate; MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: Non-billable; average 4 hours; included in NBO hours; completed pre-start; reported by facility.
