- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time travelers with strong peds and NICU-focused skillset; must be competent to care for ALL age groups including adults. HARD STOP: must have strong PICU/NICU experience AND be competent to care for adult patients across settings (ER, other units within scope). Level 3 and/or 4 NICU experience required; Pediatrics/PICU required; ER, Level 1 Trauma, Med/Surg intensive care in adult settings required. 2. Cases: Critical Care Respiratory Therapy; NICU primary focus (smallest patient 22 weeks gestation); high-acuity neonates; Jet high frequency vents common (3-4 running at all times); mixed age levels NICU through adult. 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT required; BLS/ACLS/PALS must be AHA ONLY; NRP or AAP accepted; CPI Certificate required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor); copies required at submission. 4. License: Active MD or Compact License required at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic preferred. 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30); 36/48 hours accepted; every other weekend required; holidays required as they fall; floating required within specialty, other units, and sister SRH facilities within scope; on-call not required. 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end of new contracts; one major holiday off may be allowed during winter season; one pre-approved time off noted; schedule restrictions cannot be requested or guaranteed. 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler; return travelers must be away at least 6 months from the system after assignment completion; most locations allow one contract and one extension, then traveler must take a 6-month break before returning to that facility/unit. 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile rule applies unless job specifically states locals accepted; locals under 50 miles not accepted; this job notes local travelers considered at a reduced local traveler rate — seek clarification with AM when submitting. 11.
