- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required 2. Cases: 95% adult population; small percentage of pediatric patients may come through the ED; not a NICU RT position 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, RRT, and CRT required 4. License: Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required; must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending licenses will be rejected 5. Education: Graduate of an NBRC approved Respiratory Care program required, or active member of AARC 6. EMR: Epic experience required; number of months of Epic experience in the past year must be included in submission; all travelers must attend accelerated or 2-day Epic class (returners within past 6 months may forgo class); start date determined by Epic class options 7. Shifts/Call: Days, 3x12s; weekend coverage required; on-call applies only to specific areas (OT, IR, Cath Lab) with 30-mile/30-minute requirement to campus 8. RTO: Keep to a minimum; no full calendar week off preferred; all RTO must be included in initial submission and confirmation document; approved at manager discretion; expect to work some holidays 9.
