- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-timers accepted. General experience is unit specific; 18 months if not listed otherwise in job description. 2. Cases: Required work setting experience includes Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and Operating Room. OR experience preferred. Will work in ED/Trauma, OR, general inpatients and ICU, outpatients (walk-ins), fluoroscopy, and portable imaging. Extensive X-Ray skills required across abdomen/GI, chest/thorax, head, spine/pelvis, upper and lower extremities, and mobile/surgical imaging — see full skills list in job description. 3. Certifications: ARRT and BLS required. AHA or American Red Cross only — RQI cards not accepted. Copies required per cert list in job description. 4. License: Active IL RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted. Must be in IL 3 business days prior to compliance start date for fingerprinting requirements. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred; position specific. 7. Shifts/Call: 1st shift/days, five 8-hour shifts, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Every 3rd weekend, on-call, and holidays required. On-call required as needed — will sign up for call shifts or draw to fill. No floating within scope to meet facility needs. 8. RTO: Auto-approved for 5 or fewer non-holiday days. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. RTO and start date must be confirmed accurate at time of submission. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler. 10. Travel/Local: No radius — locals accepted. Exception: OR RN must be 50 miles or more from facility (does not apply to this role). 11. Background: Any background check hits must be noted upon submission so approval can be sought prior to offer. 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours. Completed pre-start, renewed annually. Non-clinical hours are fixed; clinical module hours may vary. First day of assignment is a virtual at-home day — candidates must check for additional modules. Strict deadline: modules must be completed by 4:00 PM CST on Day 1 or candidate will be pushed. Module logins are assigned and sent prior to start. 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required. 14. Scrubs: Any solid color. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical/religious exemptions only. 16. Special Equipment: O-ARM experience required. Critical: SSN and DOB required at time of submittal. Must provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. References may be submitted as pending. Lab appointment, DocuSigns, and badge photo must be completed within a minimum of 1 week of signing the contract. Level I Trauma experience preferred. Magnet hospital — Level I Trauma Center, 562 beds. Parking permit required at no cost; form completed during orientation. Traveler must have reviewed and secured housing and be committed to completing compliance needs in a timely manner. Traveler must be pre-closed at time of submission.
