- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of experience required in field; unit will review first-time travelers based on experience; 1-year minimum EPIC EMR experience required 2. Cases: IR (Interventional Radiology) and Special Procedures work setting experience required 3. Certifications: ARRT R, BLS, and ACLS required; SC Radiology license required; must be current and valid 4. License: SC license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required; minimum 1 year of EPIC experience 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8s, 7:00am-3:30pm; one night of call per week; every seventh weekend; float required to other units or campuses as needed 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract; after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks), traveler must begin converting to employee status or take a minimum 6-month separation before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must be 100+ miles from every Prisma facility for full bill rate; 90-99.9 miles accepted at 10% bill rate reduction; IR Techs fall under Exception 2 — must be 50+ miles from relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville); 50-99.9 miles is 10% bill rate reduction; under 50 miles is ineligible 11. Pre-Start Modules: Required for all travelers; must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information (login typically comes within 24 hours of contract signing); billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start, not included in NBO; completed annually; recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health; time is not entered into timecards 13.
