- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Required collection skills include CLSI recommended order of blood draws, gray top, green top, light blue top, purple top, red top tubes, post venipuncture site care, prioritization of stat/timed/routine draws, and understanding of additives/anticoagulants; pediatric phlebotomy including finger stick, heel stick, and neonatal screening panel; special collections including blood culture, mastectomy patient, and peak and trough drug levels 3. Certifications: PBT preferred 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic (Excellian) 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8, day/night mix; shifts are 4:30 AM-1:00 PM and 9:00 PM-5:30 AM; every other weekend required; no on-call required; may float to Mercy-Unity campus if needed; client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time without penalty 8.
