- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required, 4 years preferred 2. Cases: Spine/joint excellence focus; extensive required and preferred surgical case list including Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Robotics, General OR, Vascular, ENT, Gyn, Urology, Neurosurgery, and many others as listed in skills section 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA only) required at time of submittal; NBSTSA, SGNA, CST preferred; see job/unit description for full cert list by specialty 4. License: Valid CA RN/ST License required at time of submission; candidates with license hits accepted on case-by-case basis and must be disclosed at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8s, Days, Monday-Friday; shift either 0630-1500 or 0800-1630 based on unit needs; on-call required 2-3 times per month (2200-0630), plus one weekend on call per month (0700-1900 or 1900-0700, Sat/Sun); no float 8. RTO: Single set of consecutive RTO up to 7 days will be considered; always requires facility approval; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: If previous permanent traveler, must have 1 year gap and requires facility approval; former manager name should be included 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile travel requirement; travelers within 50 miles not accepted; travel pairs accepted 11. Background: Candidates with license hits accepted on a case-by-case basis; facility must be informed of any hits at submission 12. Modules: Modules are not required 13. Travel Experience: First-time traveler OK; travel experience not required 14. Scrubs: Scrubs provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine: Required; Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations allowed 16. Special Equipment: Robotics (Da Vinci Si, Da Vinci SP, Da Vinci Xi, Mako, Mazor, Monarch systems); Zimmer systems; Drills (multiple types); Electrosurgical units; Fiber optic light sources/cords; Cell saver; Crash Cart; Washer/sterilizer Critical: Labs must be completed within 24 hours of signing contract. Two supervisor references preferred. Can submit to more than one position; all positions applied to must be sent during submission. COVID-19 Vaccine required with booster; Medical/Religious Exemptions only. Orientation is 16 hours. Community Hospital experience required.
