Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required in specialty for submission (1+ year noted elsewhere; 2 years takes precedence as explicitly required) 2. Cases: Medical Surgical/Telemetry; some stroke step-down; occasional peritoneal dialysis patients; patient age groups include Adults and Geriatrics 3. Certifications: BLS required; NIH/NIHSS required; ACLS required (noted with asterisk); copies required at submission; travelers may obtain certifications before starting 4. License: Valid NY State RN License required; must have at least applied if still pending; submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: No call required; days ratio 1:5-6, nights ratio 1:6-7; float within skillset required; weekend shifts dependent on contract length; orientation minimum 3 hours, 6-hour max 8. RTO: Only one holiday approved; preferred 7 days or less total 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as a traveler within one year; after 3rd assignment, extensions allowed but at local rate 10.
