- Unit Notes:updated 6/24/2026 ASANTE ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Radius: Client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction. - Call Off Policy: Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks. - Non-Billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours of non-billable orientation for first work week. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation. - Licensure: Non-Oregon Licensed RNs can apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the start of their assignment. CST required BLS required Experience in general, and Total Joint Ortho, Vascular, and Neuro Surgery ... 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. The ability to scrub multiple specialties including: Neurosurgery (spine, and crani) GYN ENT - Transsphenoidal experience a plus Vascular - peripheral vascular (fem-pop bypass etc), carotid endarterectomy, port placement. Open AAA, Aorto BiFem (endovascular AAA experience a plus) Davinci robot experience is a plus General Urology - Siemens imaging table, Stryker, and Olympus scopes Ortho - Ortho Trauma, ORIF, some Arthroscopy, Total Joints (hip, knee, ankle), TFN, Hemi-Hips, DHS C-Section (we sometimes assist OB in covering emergencies) 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc. Surgical instrumentation (experience with BioMet, DePuy, Synthes, Medtronic, Nuvasive, DaVinci is a plus) Stealth Navigation for Neuro, and ENT Neuro and ENT Microscopes 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years at a multi OR facility a plus 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) CST 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) SEE JOB SPECS. Call is required. It averages 50 hours per month of standby call with a 15 minute response time to backup 24/7 scheduled staff. 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) N/A 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 15 OR suites 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 2.5:1 (teams in each room usually include an RN, a scrub person--tech, or RN-- and a break relief person) 9. Dress Code: OR provided scrubs 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. We generally have travelers complete a week of orientation with current staff, and don't require call until they have been here several weeks for comfort of staff, surgeons, and traveling staff. Cancellation Policy:24 hours/13 weeks; Client can give 2 weeks notice.
