- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have Level I Trauma experience; CVOR experience and First Assist roles required 2. Cases: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, VAD management; average of 3 hearts/day 3. Certifications: BLS and CST through NBSTSA required; pending certification not accepted; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: CST through NBSTSA required; Social Security Number must be sent with submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required 7. Shifts/Call: 0600-1630; on-call required after shift hours Friday-Sunday during scheduled weeks; minimum two days of call each week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule; OT days each week; minimum 5 weekend shifts per contract; floating required to Main OR if CVOR volume is low and to other units/campuses per Prisma Health policy 8. RTO: All requests must be included with submission; requests only accommodated if approved by the facility at time of booking 9. Returning Staff: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract (Nursing only; CVOR is excluded from this rule); after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks), traveler must convert to employee status or take a minimum 6-month separation before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Travelers must be 100+ miles from every Prisma facility for full bill rate; 90-99.9 miles accepted at 10% bill rate reduction; Exception 2 applies to Operating Room (including allied and SPT): must be 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Greenville); 50-99.9 miles is a 10% bill rate reduction; under 50 miles is ineligible 11. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start, not included in NBO; completed annually; recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health; time is not entered into timecards; pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information 13.
