- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi) highly preferred; common cases include Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, GU/GYN; first-timers accepted 3. Certifications: NBSTSA required (NCCT not accepted by MUSC), BLS required; radiation badge required and must be provided by agency 4. License: South Carolina license required; candidates with SC license in hand prioritized; pending license considered with proof of application or confirmation of SC walk-through process; traveler will not be cleared until SC license is issued/active 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, days, 7A-7:30P; holiday rotation; rotating weekends; up to 4 on-call shifts per month (end of shift to 7A); float within scope and between like units/sister facilities required; block schedule requires manager approval dependent on unit needs 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted; auto-offer eligible for 7 days or less of non-holiday RTO; 7+ days or holiday RTO requires facility approval; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler 10.
