Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years total, with at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience required for submission 2. Cases: Primary neuroscience unit caring for stroke patients, seizures, subdural hematomas, SAH, ICH, brain tumors, Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and possible Neurosurgery patients 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred but not required; NIH required; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; also uses PYXIS and SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; every other weekend required; floating required to any other MS/Tele areas including possible COVID care units; block scheduling not guaranteed; call-outs must be made up same week or end of contract 8. RTO: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; only one pre-approved RTO allowed; if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up those dates; call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at a different rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Orientation is 36 hours; EMU training provided on unit and does not typically affect travelers unless trained 13.
