- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have Ortho work experience 2. Cases: Orthopedic, Neuro spine, Med-surg, Post-surgical; strong neuro/spine and ortho experience required on skills checklist 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; 1st time travelers accepted with Epic experience 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours available; every other weekend required (if RN calls out on a weekend, must make it up on a weekend); float required to any other med surg unit within the facility based on census; block scheduling option available (F/S/S or S/S/M) 8. RTO: 7 days max RTO; no holiday RTO approved; RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR 9. Must have Ortho experience. EKG testing must be passed prior to start. Patient ratios are 6:1 and can flex up to 7:1 in extreme cases only.
