- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-time travelers not accepted. Must have prior travel experience (Travel Experience Required: Yes). 2. Cases: Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management, Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema, emphysema), PE, DVT, Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia), Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains), occasional vascular, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA, occasional Ortho or CVA overflow. 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must confirm experience with all listed drips at submission. 4. License: GA RN license or Compact license required at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic preferred; Pyxis and SBAR also used. Charting system experience preferred. 7. Shifts/Call: Call is rare; 2-hour response time required. Travelers typically do not manage Precedex. Weekends typically every other weekend; perm staff scheduled first. Holiday expectations outlined: if 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, traveler works all of them; if 3 holidays fall, traveler works 2. Float required to like units within facility and scope of practice. 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per contract. ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission. No RTO or schedule requests permitted post-offer or on-site. If 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 holidays fall, 1 holiday RTO may be considered. 9. Returning Staff: Perm/Per Diem/FCSS must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler. If canceled or facility DNR, traveler must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying and ensure profile reflects all time worked at Piedmont Health. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same bill rate. 11. Background: Not specified. 12. Modules: Non-billable; hours factored into NBO (hours determined by contract length). Critical: HARD STOP — must confirm prior experience with the following drips at submission: Cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), Diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), Anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and Insulin drips. Basic arrhythmia knowledge, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of post-PCI patients required. All compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start; core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Non-compliant candidates will be pushed back 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Candidate will be reviewed clinically for fit per Piedmont guidelines before manager review.
