- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; must have experience with similar ratios and acuity 2. Cases: Cardiac and stroke unit; pre/post pacemaker implantation, ICD, cardiac catheterization, TR bands, post peripheral vascular procedures, unstable angina, low-risk chest pain, CHF, dysrhythmias, CVA/TIA, COVID-positive patients on opti-flow and BiPAP 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic (Dimensions) preferred; also uses Pyxis and SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15; call required based on patient census; float required; every other weekend plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per 6-week period required; no block scheduling 8. RTO: 7-day maximum for AYA auto offer; RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; first-time travelers accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: 36-hour orientation; travelers must be available every day during week one for hospital orientation 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Special Equipment: Telemetry and pulse ox; high-flow O2 (stable only); non-rebreather mask (palliative only); BiPAP (chronic use only — no new BiPAP); Blanketrol; no continuous KCl concentration greater than 60 mEq/Liter Critical: RTO after booking is strictly not allowed and cannot be resolved onsite — violations may result in cancel and DNR. All skills listed are hard stops. Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 and travelers must be comfortable taking 6 patients during surge.
