Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; post-op experience preferred 2. Cases: Post-operative patients fully recovered; ortho, neuro, GYN, general cases; patients needing observation waiting on disposition 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS noted with asterisk; must be in hand at submission 4. License: NY RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Hours are 11am to 7:30pm M-F; no weekends, no holidays, no call; day/eve ratios 5:1 (stretch 6-7); night ratios 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in) 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO; pre-approved time off noted as one 9. Returning Staff: 1-year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be greater than 75 miles from facility; locals not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; any time beyond 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Provided by hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Medical Surgical RN needed for post-PACU holding area Critical: Float to med surg PRN required. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Orientation is 8 hours in PACU Extended Stay. PCT support provided by hospital operations during shift hours.
