  • Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital; Trauma Level I experience required 2. Cases: Medical and telemetry patients with acute and/or chronic illness including sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac disease, and COVID-19; management of titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems, and end-of-life care 3. Certifications: BLS required; no AHA specification stated 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour options available; 13 or 26-week contract options; Days ratio 1:8, Nights ratio 1:9; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period; travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially to Bellevue campus 8. RTO: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted; RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion; travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving: W/Th/F, Christmas: 24/25/26, New Years: 31/1/2) 9. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Drips including Heparin, Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Insulin, IVIG; drip management required on all floors Critical: 100% nicotine-free facility. COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only. Facility is Nebraska Medical Center, the No. 1 rated hospital in Nebraska, a 718 acute-care bed teaching hospital affiliated with UNMC.
